Gold faced fly with lots of bristles - Sarcophaga

Gold faced fly with lots of bristles - Sarcophaga
Lacey, Thurston County, Washington, USA
August 27, 2007
Size: large fly (horsefly size)
I like this one as it shows the bristles well, especially the bristles between each section along the back of the abdomen. If you look closely, you'll also notice that the very last little section of abdomen is reddish rather than black.

Probably a flesh fly
Red eyes, red "tail light" and three stripes on thorax are the bases for my opinion. Still, somehow, it looks a bit different...

I thought flesh fly as well,
I thought flesh fly as well, but I'm reserved on it.

I had reservations, too.
But was swayed by this photo and text relative to the "tail light".
