yes it is a museum specimens from the CSCA in Sacramento. Sorry I really should have added the data! Very likely from California... I just wanted to post this species... Yes the other two pics are males, only one is mine...

It is of course throught the
It is of course throught the microscope, and I used a light dome (an old IKEA lamp in which I put stripes of LED lights, so I get a very soft diffused light) and then I took 10 pics which I combined with the free program CombineZ5, so I get nearly everything in focus... takes a bit of effort, but I like the results... especially when you take pics of shiny insects, it helps a lot, no reflections, and the microstructure is clearly visible...
