Black Witch
Beautiful picture. I have seen and photographed the Black Witch on two separate occasions in Roswell, NM. The largest measured 7-1/4"
wingspan. They are primarily native to Central America but are getting more common in the U.S. Southwest, especially following windy weather. My first shot in Roswell, about 6 years ago, was the first one recorded for that area.

Thank you
I had not identified this as the Black Witch due to the stripe across the back. However, I will defer to those who know.
