Weevil found on mushroom - Cyrtepistomus castaneus
Saugerties, New York, USA July 26, 2017 Size: 8mm (ish)
I initially thought this might be Otiorhynchus rugosostriatus but then I realized it looks similar to hundreds of other broad-nosed weevils. Lots of beech trees in area, just in case it's a root weevil that has fondness for Fagus. I'd be grateful for any thoughts.
