Phidippus - Phidippus apacheanus - Male
Moab, Grand County, Utah, USA
August 30, 2007
Size: 12mm
This is the male of the mating pair. Much more pronounced pedipalps, fiercely strong forelegs, and a brilliant orange-red color. The orientation in this picture is correct: he climbed up onto the ceiling of the terrarium to look down at the camera.
