Wheel bug nymph preying on mating squash bugs - Arilus cristatus - Beavercreek, Greene County, Ohio, USA July 22, 2017
Arilus cristatus - Wheel Bug nymph preying on mating Anasa tristis -squash bugs in my garden. It is hard to see in these photos, but the pierced squash bug has what appears to be a Tachinid egg on the left side of its abdomen, presumably laid by Trichopodes pennipes, which is very common in my yard.
