Moth drying wings - Paonias myops
Albemarle, very close to Nelson County, Virginia, USA
August 10, 2017
The moth appeared to have recently emerged from a cocoon. I saw it shortly before dark.

Small eyed sphinx
Many thanks Molly. It's a first for me. I had no idea there was a moth with wings that are kind of warped like that.
