This ootheca of this species
The ootheca of this species will take a long time to hatch. It could take as long as 3-5 months for the first nymph to emerge. But do not throw the ootheca away, as it will continue to hatch over a period of 6-10 months. I have one B. Borealis ootheca where the last nymph emerged to see the subadult from the same ootheca.
