Robber Fly Cannibalism! - Promachus rufipes - female

Robber Fly Cannibalism! - Promachus rufipes - Female
Norfolk, Virginia, USA
September 3, 2007
Well, not quite, I guess. At first glance, I thought the predator had a large cranefly until I viewed the image on my computer. Pretty interesting image of one robber eating another.

Scott

Yeah
They do that. This is a female Promachus rufipes eating Diogmites neoternatus.

Ha! Red Footed Cannibalfly. That's a good one!
