I'm Standing At The Crossroads - Junonia coenia - Female
Norris City, White County, Illinois, USA
September 2, 2007
Not a data posting, I just thought this was an interesting image. Finally something without the typical field for a background.

I saw her standing there at the edge of the road, so how could I not take her picture?

Just a quick note
to point out that "she's" a boy. Kind'a hard to tell in Buckeyes and most other Nymphalinae, because the male's claspers are small and hard to see withough brushing the "hair" away. The shape of the wings is fuller and rounder in female Buckeyes, and the abdomen would be a tad more pointed (and likely fatter).
