Could this be a comb-clawed beetle, Androchirus sp., family Tenebrionidae ?

Tenebrionidae: Alleculinae: Capnochroa fuliginosa
The short, nearly blunt basolateral pronotal angles place this as a Capnochroa.

Despite its being termed a "seriously flawed work" by some, everybody here seems to be using the hefty "American Beetles," Arnett et al. I am accustomed to seeing Tenebrionidae and Alleculidae treated as separate and distinct families. I retract my prior comment.

I also retract this comment concerning "American Beetles," which I might have confused with another book Arnett co-authored.
