Green Bird Grasshopper - Schistocerca shoshone
Watson Creek Preserve, Prescott, yavapai County, Arizona, USA

Size: 8cm
At the same location as these quite magnificent green guys I also saw other large bird grasshoppers with dark, light-lined hindwings that were flying, prob. Dissosteira carolina. I did not succeed in capturing those on camera.
