Wasp ovipositing in Cirsium discolor blossom - female

Wasp ovipositing in Cirsium discolor blossom - Female
Lena Park, Starke County, Indiana, USA
August 26, 2017
I noticed these small, slim wasps apparently ovipositing in Cirsium discolor blossoms. The ovipositing isn't shown in either of these photos, but I did photograph it with another individual that appeared to be the same -- though the photo was blurry.

Thanks!
appreciated Ross...I thought this was an Ichneuman, but wasn't sure. I found it interesting because of the association with this important native forb.
