American Lady - Vanessa virginiensis

American Lady - Vanessa virginiensis
Doddridge County, West Virginia, USA
September 5, 2007
First one I've seen this late in the season, and then only in June twice in seven years. I have two heavily cropped poorer images in the guide from June that will be frassed. (this was in our flower garden and close enough for me to use the BMacro lens)

Very nice photo, Donna
There's a website that tracks sightings of ladies and red admirals. You may want to report in:

Definitely will do that Ron...
Thanks!
