Geometrid Larva - Synchlora

Geometrid Larva - Synchlora
Davie, Broward County, Florida, USA

Unfortunately, I did not raise either of these larvae to see what species they were. This larva was on Cordia globosa.

Camoflaged Looper
What you have is the Camoflaged Looper, (Synchlora aerata), also called Wavy-lined Emerald which is the adult. Very common this time of year on flowers of plants in the Aster family.

Thanks!
