Thread-waisted wasp, but Podalonia or Ammophila - Ammophila pictipennis - female

Thread-waisted wasp, but Podalonia or Ammophila - Ammophila pictipennis - Female
Finlayson, Pine County, Minnesota, USA
September 2, 2007
I've narrowed this down to a thread-waisted wasp, but I'm not sure how to tell if it is Podalonia or Ammophila. I'm leaning toward Ammophila because the "thread" seems a little longer, and all the Podalonia in the pictures were hairy. Also, is this a male? Thanks for any assistance.

Looks
Like she is doing site maintenance. Ammophila pictipennis.
