I found this wasp yesterday and think it a Tachytes distinctus. Can you confirm? Thanks!

Is that the end of the road o
Is that the end of the road or did it just get moved for someone else to look at it? If the former, is there something that I could photograph that would clinch the ID? It, or others, might still be around.

 
The ID process doesn't stop...
...just because an image is moved. There's a good chance that someone else will be able to take it further. Just give it some time.

 
I usually just let them sit b
I usually just let them sit but I had a little time this afternoon and went to see if I could catch it/another just in case some salient anatomical feature would seal the ID. Didn't find one, though. Thanks!
