Looks like Tachinid
though I'm not quite sure. Spikey abdomen would be definitive. Is this one that way?

Also, just curious, are the antennae unusual here? (They seem long and thin.)

 
Another possibility:
A Sarcophagid. The typical one has red on the tip of the abdomen, but I'm sure some don't. As for how to tell them apart- I don't know.

 
The antennae are longish...abdomen a little spikey...
I was only able to get this one photo. When I tried to come around the trunk of the tree, it flew off.
