It seems like there is always a new Hoverfly to find . This one has a bold black and yellow striped pattern . Thanks for any help in identification , Beth

Syrphini
I would move it to tribe Syrphini with confidence. Beyond that, these ones are very hard to ID to species or even genus.
It is a female.
