Marmara sp., maybe? - Marmara

Marmara sp., maybe? - Marmara
Montrose, Laurens County, Georgia, USA
August 22, 2016
Although it has been a year since I took this, I actually remember it well. This is one of those buggers that seem to play the "You're not gettin' a pitcher of me, Chief!" game. Every time I got the camera in position, it would turn its body away and stare back at me. I swear sometimes bugs actually understand what is going on and, since they don't particularly fancy it, do things to stymie photographers. This marks the first and only time I have come across this species...

Marmara it is! There seem to be a lot more undescribed species in this genus than there are described ones.
