Found: undescribed pupa! - Eleates depressus

Found: undescribed pupa! - Eleates depressus
Jefferson Notch area, Coos County, New Hampshire, USA
Size: about 8.5 mm
I assume if the larvae of Eleates depressus are undescribed, the pupae must be also. This young beetle took just one day to change into a pupa after I found it and placed it in a glass vial for observation. My intent is to let this beetle mature in order to confirm ID, then preserve the two other immatures at larval and pupal stage for purposes of description. All preserved specimens will be sent to Kojun Kanda.
