Geolycosa xera
Hi Kurt,
This looks to be G. xera, a burrowing wolf spider. They get a good size and live in gardens or pre made holes, typically.

G.
xera xera and xera archboldi are Florida species and likely restricted to Florida.
It is at least an adult male wolf spider, probably Hogna or Geolycosa.

Where did ...
you get your list from? I made an at-a-glance type range map for North American Geolycosa a while back and never got around to adding it to the genus info page here because I thought it could still use some tweaking. I only have one spot on it in UT for G. uinticolens and I knew the range for G. wrighti is broader than what I have down but I don't want to add the data points for them unless they come from trust worthy scientific papers/sources.
