I saw 5 or 6 of these wasps walking around on the ground in the woods. I was wondering if there was a nest nearby.

Nice.
Nice wasp! May I ask how you came by the identification? I know the genus is not easy to get to species level....

Identification
Hi Eric,

My method of identification was rather unscientific- I looked through the photos of the different species until I came across the one that had the matching markings. :) I won't mind if it needs to be moved to a less specific classification.

Thanks in advance,

Daniel
