Wolf like sphinx - Enyo lugubris - male

Wolf like sphinx - Enyo lugubris - Male
Maplesville, Chilton County, Alabama, USA
September 20, 2017
Size: 4 cm WS
A very unusual and dark sphinx-like moth that could redefine the Gothic look. I can see many faces on him with a prominent wolf like face up front and a totem pole down his back with at least four faces. Midway down his back there are "angel wings." Most unusual is the end of his abdomen which reminded me of a paper airplane with three distinct points, the tip appearing sharp. Found indoors.
