Size: ~35mm
Saw this guy along our driveway in live oak/chaparral habitat. Thought I was just taking another photo of Argia vivida which has been very common around our yard, but noticed he looked different when I downloaded photos. Possibly a species of Enallagma?

I am guessing "Tule Bluet", Enallagma carunculatum
Although you will want more authoritative input. A very good picture - It's hard to have head and tail both in focus!

Is actually a girl. Unfortunately, that's about all I can tell you. Although I would agree with your assumption of Genus.
