Xenox habrosus - male

Xenox habrosus - Male
Eaton Wash, alt. ~ 960 ft., Eaton Canyon Natural Area, Pasadena, Los Angeles County, California, USA
September 13, 2007
Size: 17mm; wsp. 22mm
Examined this specimen, and it is a male.
Photographed in the field, in the same section of the wash where I took last year's pictures (1 ). Perhaps I can find the carpenter bee nest where it must have hatched.
