Yeah, but you have to go to the tropics to see that (really pretty) one. ;]
Now I wonder which species is the largest (either bulkiest, or longest) in the US. Several contenters, but M. bivittatus probably won't win in any category. Probably a Lubber for bulkiest, and a Schistocerca for longest (???). The largest Band-wing in all categories will probably be a female Xanthippus corallipes, and the largest Slant-face probably Boopedon (Mermeria will be longest).
