Gulf Fritillary, Agraulis vanillae - Agraulis incarnata

Gulf Fritillary, Agraulis vanillae - Agraulis incarnata
Rondeau Provincial Park, Chatham-Kent, Ontario, Canada
June 20, 2010
This Gulf Fritillary landed briefly on a patch of Asclepias tuberosa. I was able to get this one image before it flew off. This represents the first photographed/confirmed record of this species for Ontario, and only the third record for Canada as of this date.

A BugGuide first for Ontario and Canada
