Kuschelina scripticollis
Mike, when I was searching for info for the guide page, I couldn't find anything for Kuschelina scripticollis. Then I noticed that
Nearctica
listed 27 species of Kuschelina, but scripticollis wasn't one of them. Is this a name change, or something like that?

Kuschelina scripticollis [Revised Status & New Combination]
Per Riley et al, 2003:
Kuschelina scripticollis [Revised Status & New Combination]
Also per Riley et al, 2003:
Range: AB, MB / CO, DC, IL, KS, MA, MD, ME, MI, MO, ND, NJ, NY, OH, RI, VA, WV.
I'm not sure why it isn't listed in:
Clark, S.M., D.G. LeDoux, T.N. Seeno, E.G. Riley, A.J. Gilbert and J.M. Sullivan. 2004. Host plants of leaf beetle species occurring in the United States and Canada (Coleoptera: Megalopodidae, Orsodacnidae, Chrysomelidae exclusive of Bruchinae). Mike, we're noticing
that you have different subfamilies than those on BugGuide. Can you give us a taxonomic reference for the ones you're using? We may have to update the taxonomy here on BugGuide.

Higher Classification
The higher classification I posted:
Family Chrysomelidae, Subfamily Galerucinae, Tribe Alticini
is correct per:
Riley, E.G., S.M. Clark, & T.N. Seeno. 2003.
Catalog of the leaf beetles of America north of Mexico (Coleoptera: Megalopodidae, Orsodacnidae and Chrysomelidae, excluding Bruchinae).
Coleopterists Society, Special Publication no. 1, 290 pp.

References...
I noticed some discrepancies as well...
At home I use these references:
Arnett, R.H., Jr., M.C. Thomas, P. E. Skelley & J.H. Frank. (editors). 2002. American Beetles, Volume II: Polyphaga: Scarabaeoidea through Curculionoidea. CRC Press. 861 pp.
Riley, E.G., S.M. Clark, & T.N. Seeno. 2003. Catalog of the leaf beetles of America north of Mexico (Coleoptera: Megalopodidae, Orsodacnidae and Chrysomelidae, excluding Bruchinae). Coleopterists Society, Special Publication no. 1, 290 pp.
At work, I'm using
TIARA
which isn't 100% up to date.
What references are you using?

Seen this species too
As has Lynette, here's my pic:
I wonder if we can figure out a species? It seems distinctly marked with that red-bordered thorax...

googled flea beetle
and the closest I could come up with was a black and white drawing of a Beet Flea Beetle that is a posability. It would be nice to get an ID, since there are several of us with this beetle.
