Marion County Spider(s) - Kukulcania hibernalis

Marion County Spider(s) - Kukulcania hibernalis
Juniper Springs, Ocala National Forest, Marion County, Florida, USA
October 21, 2017
Southern house spider, perhaps? TONS of these sliders observed on one of the old covered pavilions at Juniper Springs recreational area. Messy webs. Many of these spiders took to little holes or behind/under their sloppy webs when flashed with the camera. One big one had taken down a hieroglyphic cicada (awesome. Looks like this one may have a green lacewing or something similar? Not sure.

Only
species in southeast. Great image.
