Allograpta sp? - Allograpta

Apologies for the blurry, noisy image...was an active fly + breeze & low light!

My best conjecture here is Allograpta (don't know how to distinguish A. obliqua from A. exotica). This individual appears to have a somewhat different abdominal pattern than most the Allograpta photos on BugGuide...but overall those patterns seem fairly variable to me, so I don't know what to make of that.

It was photographed on an uncommon wild buckwheat species, Eriogonum covilleanum, in the large, arid, serpentine area known as Clear Creek.

I'd say A. obliqua
The oblique markings on the abdomen are usually more pronounced than on yours, but check this post:

I can't figure out what A. exotica looks like, either. The only photos I could find came from Hawaii, where it was said to be a non-native species. Contradicting the info on the Allograpta info page here, I did find a map that indicates A. exotica is in Mexico and Central America, but not the U.S. I'd ignore A. exotica, but I'm no expert.
