Plasterer Bee - Colletes inaequalis - female

Plasterer Bee - Colletes inaequalis - Female
Hampshire County, Massachusetts, USA
April 8, 2005
Size: ~11 mm
I shot this species last year (1) with my older digital camera, and was glad to do it again with proper equipment. I am hoping that with this dorsal shot we can get an identification based on wing veination. There is a large field near our home that is swarming with thousands of these little bees. I know they are not a single colony, but there are so many nests that it looks like crab holes on a shoreline.
