Scytodes thoracica? - Scytodes - male

Scytodes thoracica? - Scytodes - Male
Austin, Travis County, Texas, USA
September 17, 2007
I was just reading up on Scytodes online. One article I found showed a scytodes dining on a wolf spider. I found this one in the cobweb of another spider, but not entangled in its web. I wonder if it was stalking the other spider. The eye pattern and shape of the body seem clearly to be scytodes. Also, I saw a reference that mentions only one species in this family.

From Ubick et al (2005), there are 7 species in the genus Scytodes, of which this is clearly a member. TX is a difficult place to make a species diagnosis when limited to the manual.
