Very stunted, more the size of a pygmy blue.

(Written later July 2009) The "outdated" Orange County butterfly book I initially used for ID called this Bernardino Blue. Looks as if we're now back to that.)

Square-spotted blue
Isn't this actually some form of square-spotted blue? The checked forewing fringes would indicate that it is this species rather than acmon.
