Toad Bug - Gelastocoris oculatus

Toad Bug - Gelastocoris oculatus
Parkhill Conservation Area, Middlesex, Ontario, Canada
April 8, 2005
Size: about 7 mm
On shore of pond; hard to see against the sandy/gravelly background, and I would have missed it if it hadn't hopped and caught my eye. A new one for me, I didn't realize they lived around here but apparently so.

Love Toad Bugs!
I think they are cool little critters...
