Your
Gall images are very fine additions. Do you have a reference for the constructions and names?

thanks Herschel
I've been listing a reference (Ron Russo's book) on the info pages -- is that what you're asking? In addition Kathy Schick has seen most of my gall photos, and Ron Russo has seen many of them too. I'll probably fill out a little more info on the info pages as time permits -- though in most cases there isn't a lot known about these species.

Did you know that there are
a number of unidentified gall images waiting for help here?

yes
Unfortunately I don't know east coast galls (except for a few from NY I managed to get identified) and most of the gall images in the galls section are east coast or midwest galls. I did just move a few spruce galls (west & east coast) to species pages. I'll see if I can hack away at any of the others. Many are cynipid galls, and some of those I'd feel comfortable moving to the cynipid section.

I wish more people would include tree species with their galls -- that's very important in identifying galls. You might have noticed I'm trying to get people to include tree species whenever they submit gall photos now.... even if no one here can ID the galls now, with the host plant included it will be much more likely to happen.
