The specimen came from the Ut
The specimen came from the Utah state insect collection, Identified before entering my collection, so I could not tell you, I took the photo to represtent the species. However I will be replacing this photo and adding more for this species to show of the characteristics.

In MacKay paper, The Southwestern Naturalist, 32(3): 357-362 states mexicana is entirely black.

This specimen is entirely black, the only reason there is any white is do to the light reflecting on the specimen.
