Pistol casebearer moth larva or pupa - Coleophora atromarginata

Size: 6 mm
This is likely the American Pistol Casebearer larva or pupa, photographed today at noon. I photographed another at almost the same location, last year (5 June 2006). Note the tiny spider under the overhang of the case.
