Megetra vittata. Enlarging the last photo (better would be reposting a cropped version) the elytral pattern looks like the finely, irregularly reticulate pattern of vittata. The elytra are abruptly deflexed to the side forming an edge.
There are also records from nearby, i.e. Gallup, & Ft. Wingate.

Congratulations on simply identifying this as a beetle! I always get inquiries about these referring to them as 'ants.' They are certainly atypical beetles.
