Thanks, Gary. Looks like Eris definitely. Some of the Eris flava pics look darned close too. So, I'm pretty sure this is probably a male Eris, but I'm not convinced it's militaris yet. I also had some female Eris pics over the last few weeks on that same tree!

As far as which Eris species, there are only 3 Eris species listed in the guide here, and I'd be surprised if there weren't more Eris out there in addition to those three as well. Is it even possible to differentiate between Eris from a pic...especially one as bad as I got this time?
