A picture I took a week earlier in Newton, Mass. looks a lot like yours, but with a different wing pattern (maybe mine is too young to have wings yet).

I'm no expert on these
but it does look like an immature version of the one I posted.

I guess I'll have to start saving more than beetles
If I see another one, I'll collect it.

I think. If you still have it, I would like it. After years of sitting on the Massachusetts seacoast, it seems to have suddenly expanded its range in the past 3 years.
