Glischrochilus obtusus

Glischrochilus obtusus
Duke Forest off of Highway 751, Orange County, North Carolina, USA
August 25, 2007
Size: 12 mm
Taking sap on an oak tree that was almost gushing sap through various wounds. Size estimated. Jim McLarin tells me this is a Glischrochilus obtusus, not Glischrochilus quadrisignatus, as I had thought originally. We just have a few examples of obtusus, all from further north, so I'll add this one from NC.
