I believe Podisus is one of the predatory stink bugs. Could be what you have here, but I'm not an expert by any means. Check images under that name and see if there is a match.

With
221 species it can be confusing. Believe you are right on this critter. Thought it was a tail showing through wings but now believe it is the bands mentioned for IDing Prodisus. Did learn something, there are predatory stink bugs. 8-)
