striped bugs in wood pile - Neoclytus caprea
Dayton, Montgomery County, Ohio, USA
April 12, 2005

Moved
Moved from Neoclytus.

Oh yeah...
I forgot about getting back here with the species name. Anyway it is Neoclytus caprea.

Clytus sp?
Try looking here...though several species do look alike...

Neoclytus sp?
This reminds me more of a species of Neoclytus, but both genera are very similar.

Neoclytus sp?
I'm sure that's a Bannded Ash Borer, Neoclytus... I've been sitting here for five minutes and the species name isn't coming to me for some reason. I think I need to start getting more than 3 1/2 hours of sleep a night ;) I'll get back when I think of it, if someone doesn't beat me to it.

Thanks!! That's it
That is it! I even see the larvae in ash tree that
was cut for fire wood.
Banded Ash Borer.
