Euphoria - Euphoria fascifera

Euphoria - Euphoria fascifera
about 1 mile West of Shelter Valley, Anza Borrego Desert, San Diego County, California, USA
July 29, 2007
Size: 15 mm
I think this is Euphoria fascifera, based on the "Field Guide to Beetles of California" by Evans and Hogue. What do others think? This location in the desert had about 2 inches of rain 5 days previously. These Euphorias were very abundant among the mesquite trees, most buzzing around the high foliage, some mating and some on the ground.
