Face to Face with a Mymarid Dixie Plantation, Charleston County, South Carolina, USA September 16, 2007 Size: <1mm
At this magnification it is impossible to get good focus on the scope but this is the head of a mymarid wasp. You can see the transverse and longitudinal sulci (grooves) that identify these wasps. The antenna are also well separated and the things are tiny!
