Moved from Ant-loving Beetles.

Trimioplectus male
Probably T. obsoletus, but the clarity is not good enough to be sure.

Thanks
Thanks Don. I'll look at your key sometime to check whether it is T. obsoletus or not.

The last
key was in my treatment of the Pselaphidae (Part 1) of Latimer Co., 1989 I think, Trans. American Ent. Soc. Males of the 3 species are figured there.

Matches T. obsoletus
Found that paper and it matches T. obsoletus, having only the small tubercle on the 3rd sternite's margin. Also possibly a new state record.

Thanks for helping with this Don. I tried to use American Beetles to key it out before posting but couldn't quite figure it out. Now I see where my mistake was and hopefully now I'll be better at IDing these beetles.

Yes
a new state record. Indiana has been very poorly collected since Blatchley, and there are some beautiful sites in Hoosier National Forest to sample - saw them when going after cave Pselaphinae with Jerry Lewis.
