This is different from any katydid I've ever seen... found right by a bridge... Pretty unique...

Black-legged Meadow Katydid?
This sure looks a lot like the katydid identified on this site as a black-legged meadow katydid (Orchelimum nigripes), particularly this pinned adult male specimen:
