Didn't have that one in my book so,
I went googling. I read somewhere that it's also known as the American Dog Tick. http://www.fcps.k12.va.us/StratfordLandingES/Ecology/mpages/american_dog_tick.htm and yours looks almost identical to the female on this page http://www.entomology.cornell.edu/MedEnt/TickBioFS/TickBioFS.html
