Lepidocyrtus paradoxus
ID by Dr Felipe Soto-Adames of the Illinois Natural History Survey.
"All individuals of 'L. hirtus' at Bugguide are L. paradoxus. As far as known L. hirtus has not been seen alive. Christiansen & Bellinger described the species from material collected in 1953 by one of the curators at Illinois Natural History Survey. The specimens of L. hirtus C&B saw were white or orange (probably as a result of age)."
